Building healthy attachments is a ton of work, and it can take a lot of time and effort on the part of the parents, and the kids too. So often it can seem we never get to have any fun. “Good Job” fortune cookies are a great way to continue building attachment, while rewarding both the parents and the kids for good behaviors, for jobs well done, or just because. Here’s how it works…
The fabric fortune cookies made from 100% cotton. They are reversible, re-usable and washable. I’ve also included a selection of rewards that you can choose to include in your fortune cookies, or you can make up your own too, and get your kids to help with ideas for rewards. For kids with food issues these “Good Job” fortune cookies are great for avoiding the sugar filled rewards. If you are on a tight budget these rewards don’t have to cost anything.
I would suggest filling the cookies with a reward, then displaying them in a transparent bowl. Whenever you want to reward your child, they get to choose from the bowl, open their fortune cookie, and inside they find a fun activity to do with you. 
It doesn’t mean you have to drop what you’re doing and do the activity; you can agree on where and when, but sooner is always better. While you’re engaged in the activity with your kids, remember to avoid criticizing or correcting as much as possible. This is supposed to be a “fun” activity, so relax and as long as their behaviors are not compromising everything you’ve achieved so far or giving them mixed messages, enjoy the time together however short it is.Give it a try!
